CROSS COUNTRY WITH RELIGIOUS TO DAMN
Rescue co-owner Jeralyn is leaving town tomorrow to embark on a cross country road trip/tour with Religious To Damn (and some other crazy ladies). The fun starts tomorrow night in Brooklyn with a show at St. Vitus. Then the 18th in San Francisco and the 19th in LA (Jeralyn will be DJing those two). Follow their crazy adventures here.

EMMA STONE
Love her. Love her style.
WE HEART JONATHAN TOUBIN
You might have heard about the horrible accident involving our friend Jonathan Toubin. Miraculously, he is alive and slowly recovering but the entire thing is completely crazy and it’s wonderful how many people have been showing so much support for Jonathan via benefit shows, donating money via PayPal or from various club nights, and sending tons of love and gifts and records and whatnot...
BRASS WAVE
We got into the rad website Of A Kind when our friends Cook & Gates did an amazing collabo with them that sold out in one day… since then we’ve been checking in on all of the awesome limited-edition, hand-made items that are regularly released. These brass wave earrings by Laura Lombardi are a serious fave.
From their site: “I like to make things that are eye-catching and...
SINCERELY YOURS
One of our favorite record labels, Sincerely Yours, recently released this extremely creepy/awesome video by Olivia Kastebring with a song by JJ and Joel Rampage. Like everything SY does, it’s pretty mysterious, which is part of why we love it so much.

UNARMED
Check out this sick video & song made by friends of ours! The man behind the music is Shawn O’Sullivan (of Led Er Est and Further Reductions) and the song is on a record available here. The video is made by the amazing Jordan Levine who designed the original Rescue logo and a bunch of other awesome stuff for us!
LITTLE WORLD
I’ve been trying to find or make a cool terrarium for what feels like forever… these hand welded metal and glass beauties from Assembly are absolutely perfect, but at $340 each, they are sadly out of my price range…
REVOLUTIONARY HAIR
We think it’s time that Georgian men’s hairstyles made a comeback… particularly the casual ponytail tied with a black ribbon. Front curls and white powder optional.
MARY MEYER
So much cool stuff is on sale at Mary Meyer right now!!

CLASSIC NEWBURY
Reading the Rag & Bone blog led me to these boots which I am now positive I cannot live without! We heard a rumor Rag & Bone is opening up in Boston soon…
PYREX VISION
Kind of obsessed with the blog of Virgil Abloh, Kanye West’s style advisor…
INITIALS D.D.
We argue about pretty much everything over here but one thing we’re all on the same page about is The Weeknd’s cover of “Dirty Diana.” Flawless.
MIXED FORTUNES BY RORY PHILLIPS
Following six years of remixes and collaborations for countless artists, Rory Phillips releases his first original material.
Steering away from the album format, Rory will be releasing the music as Mixed Fortunes, a Singles Club of 6 2 track 12” records, released throughout 2012.
Named to reflect the stylistic range of the series, Mixed Fortunes, will channel the same spirit of...
BOHEMIAN HOMES
I hate a messy house but I also hate a house devoid of personality. I like having things around to tell a story, share memories and bring life into the home… my apartment is full of plants hanging from everywhere, books stacked up to the ceiling, mismatched Egyptian-inspired tchotchke and, of course, a million records…

THE HUNGER GAMES
Yeah we read it and we’re psyched. Hope they don’t blow it like they did with The Golden Compass…

LIVE....SUBURBIA!
Our awesome friends over at Orchard are hosting this rad event for Anthony Pappalardo’s new book Live…Suburbia! You might remember Anthony as the guy behind the completely epic Radio Silence: A Selected Visual History of American Hardcore Music.
From Powerhouse Books:
Live…Suburbia! is a collection of stories and images of the post-1960s subcultures that define America. It’s kids...
FAY FIFE
We absolutely love the style of Fay Fife, the insanely amazing frontwoman of the Rezillos. Her style was like a cross between Wilma Flintstone and Judy Jetson with obvious late 70s punk craziness mixed in.

NEW LOCATION AT 167 NEWBURY STREET
Here are some photos of our just-opened second location at 167 Newbury Street! We are pretty psyched. We’re still putting on the finishing touches but we are totally open for business, so come by and visit us! And bring us some clothes while you’re at it!
BOARDWALK EMPIRE
Why can’t people still dress like this? Or at least put this much effort into their daily attire? WHY? Best show on tv, hands down. Even the annoying and unattractive people are hot… probably because of the clothes.

TAKE IT FROM ME
Gilda from one of our fave blogs — Take It From Me — came by the store to ask Jeralyn some questions… check it out here!
CHRISTIANA KEY
Whether she’s completely slaying it on violin for Cult of Youth or writing string arrangements for Zola Jesus, Christiana Key always looks incredible. Varying between Elvish Princess, Celtic Witch and Woodland Fairy, her look is always mystical and evocative of some ethereal realm beyond our senses… much like the music she plays, which you can listen to here:

ZOHRA ATASH
Life is pretty good when you can be continually inspired by your amazing friends. One such friend of ours is the talented and beautiful Zohra Atash of Religious To Damn. She never ceases to amaze us with the amount of instruments she will pick up during a performance, not to mention her voice! It sounds like it is calling to us through a misty fog from the top of a mountain in a dream...
GARETH PUGH X ABSOLUT
We’ll buy any Gareth Pugh collaboration we can get our hands on (as evidenced by Paul’s Gareth Pugh x Colette x Incase Macbook cover and Jeralyn’s Gareth Pugh x Six Scents perfume) - so, naturally, we need to get our hands on this vodka. We want to drink the entire bottle in a candle-lit room and then fill it with black roses.

PRINCE
While listening to a band that shall not be named today and noticing that they were totally ripping off Prince, we were reminded of how incredible an artist, musician and fashion icon the man in question truly is. Purple Rain is what really made us love him, but his amazing style has never been in doubt. We always appreciate someone willing to take risks and walk that fine line between...
